Marlene Schiermeier, age 65, of Hanover, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was visiting her granddaughter anticipating the birth of her first great-grandchild, Uriah Daniel, who was born on February 17. She was born on October 2, 1950 in Lebanon, Indiana, the daughter of Robert and Janis (Megley) Edwards.
Mrs. Schiermeier was a homemaker and a graduate of Sandia High School in Albuquerque. She and her husband moved to Hanover from Albuquerque in 2006. She was a member of the Madison Moose Lodge and its Women of the Moose, and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Schiermeier, to whom she was married on June 13, 1987 in Albuquerque; her daughter, Michelle and Charlie of Lexington, Indiana; three grandchildren: Shelbie and Daniel of Albuquerque, and Caden and Larisa of Lexington, Indiana; and her great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Susan Edwards.
The Reverend J.D. Traylor will conduct memorial services at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Hanover Baptist Church.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or Hanover Baptist Church Building Fund. Contributions may be made at the church or at any Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service location in Madison or Milton, Kentucky.
