Life Story for Dakota E. Lutz

Dakota E.  Lutz
Dakota E. Lutz, age 24, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his residence. He was born on November 22, 1991 in Bloomington, the son of Robert A. Lutz and Kathleen Gray Christenson.

Mr. Lutz was a 2010 graduate of Edgewood High School in Ellettsville, Indiana and moved to New Albany in 2012. He formerly worked for the Horseshoe Casino in Elizabeth, Indiana and Meier's in New Albany. He was a member of Northside Christian Church, and loved to "hang out" with his friends, watch the trains run and go the Ohio River and watch the barges.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Robert A. and Melinda Lutz of New Albany; his mother, Kathleen Christenson of Fairbanks, Alaska; step-brother, Ryan Robison of New Albany; step-sister, Ashley Robison of Sellersburg, Indiana; five half-siblings: Montana and Sean O'Connell, and Jedidiah, Rebekah and Ruth Christenson; grandparents: Barbara L. (Royce) Lutz of Bloomington, Ed and Sylvia Gray of Richardson, Texas and Bill and Evelyn Dohoney of Greenville, Indiana; aunts and uncles: Pam and Gary Moser, and Tamara and Art Hanson, all of Ellettsville; his girlfriend, Evelyn McCall, New Albany; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Reverend Robert E. Lutz on April 22, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 21 at the Bloomington Baptist Church. Friends and family may call at the church from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM.

A second funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, July 22 in the Centrum of Northside Christian Church in New Albany, with interment to follow in Abundant Life Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the church.
