Catherine P. "Cathy" Truman, age 57, of Lexington, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born November 22, 1958 in Madison, the daughter of John T. and Anna Louise (Davis) Perry.
Mrs.Truman resided in the Madison area all of her life. She formerly worked for Frisch's and Main Grill restaurants, and at Hanover Health and Rehab as a cook and waitress. She attended the Church of the Nazarene and Madison Assembly of God, and was a member of VFW Post #1969, Madison. She loved to play Bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, Chico.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Ronald D. Truman, to whom she was married on July 3, 1987 in Bedford, Kentucky; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Shelton of Madison; three sons: John D. "J.D." Shelton, Travis D. Truman and his wife, Kelsi, and Ronald W. Truman, all of Lexington; her father, John T. Perry of Madison; one brother, Trimble W. Perry and his wife, Cheri of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; one sister, Karen D. Lovins and her husband, Troy of Bedford, Kentucky; one granddaughter, five grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 2002; one son, Jerry Lee Shelton in 1978; two sisters: Kimberly D. Seidl and Beverly Kay Fitzgerald; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanley and Christine Truman.
The Reverend Mike Stephens will conduct funeral services at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel, with interment to follow in Springdale Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel, from 5 to 8 PM Friday, August 5, and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Saturday.
