Charles F. Broad, age 66, of Milton, Kentucky passed away October 5, 2016 at his residence. He was born on January 29, 1950 in Madison, Indiana, the son of Charles L. and Alma Christine (Rowlett) Broad.
Mr. Broad retired from the Trimble County Highway Department in 1996 after more than fifteen years of service. He enjoyed playing guitars with his friends since he was eight years old. He also enjoyed working on vehicles, telling stories and jokes, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Jefferson Post #9, Madison.
He will be sadly missed by his sister, Alma Ruth Scroggins and her husband, Bob of Madison, Indiana; two nieces, Tina Luellen of Bedford, Kentucky and Dena Scroggins of Orange City, Florida; one nephew, Andy Scroggins of Madison, Indiana; two great nieces, Halee Luellen and Morgan Scroggins; one great nephew, Mason Scroggins; one uncle, Bob Rowlett of McComb Township, Michigan, his companion, Jayme (Ball) Larrison of Milton; the children of his companion, Megan Coggeshall and Joshua Larrison; the granddaughter of his companion, Emma Coggeshall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and brother in law, Jr and Darlene Branham; and his nephew, Keith Branham.
Reverend Aaron Snelling will conduct funeral services on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Wood Oakley Chapel, 37 High Street, Milton, Kentucky. Interment will follow in Moffett Cemetery in Milton.
Friends and family may call from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2016 and from 9:00 - 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Lions Eye Bank. Contributions can be made at any of the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
