Mr. Cleve Joy Bayne, age 89, of Navasota, Texas, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at Golden Creek Health Care & Rehabilitation in Navasota. Born January 23, 1928 in Milton, Kentucky, he was the son of Cleveland Martin and Pearl (Green) Bayne. He proudly served his country from 1943-1945 in the U.S. Navy and worked in wholesale food sales. Later he worked with Harris County, Texas Law Enforcement for several years and then sold church pews, with his territory being state of Texas.
Mr. Bayne is survived by his longtime companion, Virginia Lowe of Navasota; two daughters: Joyceanne White Kenney & her husband, Shelby of Nacogdoches, Texas, Deborah Landry & her husband, Eugene of Houston, Texas; one son, Cleve Mark Bayne of El Cajon, California; his nephew and caregiver, Ken Bayne of Spokane, Washington; three step-children, Eric Lowe & his wife, Trish, Ross Lowe, and Norma Lowe; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annis Laverne Tanksley Bayne; one daughter, Francie Bayne; three sisters: Mary, Eleanor, and Freda; and eight brothers: Wilford, Oriel, Howard, Roy Allen, Joseph, David, James H., and George Bayne.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM CST Saturday, April 15, 2017 at at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Graveside services and interment will be held at a later date in Moffett Cemetery, Milton.
