Ralph Joseph Lionetti (“Flash” and “Big Poppy”), 80 years of age from Port Chester, New York, and Madison, Indiana passed away on April 20, 2017.
Ralph was born in Greenwich, Connecticut on September 30, 1936, to Joseph & Rose (Carriero) Lionetti. He graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York and continued on to earn a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Iona College.
Ralph worked at RB&W in Port Chester, New York, and in Mentor, Ohio. He accepted a new position at Ohio Rod Products as plant manager in Versailles, Indiana, working over 25 years before retiring. Ralph was an avid golfer at Sunrise Golf Course, euchre player at the Moose Lodge, and supporter of local high school athletic programs.
He married Phyllis Ball on June 26, 1973, and celebrated 43 years of marriage at the time of his passing. Ralph is survived by his wife Phyllis; his children Susan Pruitt, Ralph Lionetti, Jeanne Thompson, RaeAne Pryor and Joseph Lionetti; his brother Joseph Lionetti and one sister Theresa Rubio.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph & Rose Lionetti, and his sisters Leona Dewey and Mary Horton.
A family memorial will be held at a later date.
