Mary Jo Taylor, age 69, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at her residence. Born May 20, 1947 in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of Chester Leon and Barbara Jean (Pate) Osborn.
She graduated from Vevay High School in 1965. She worked for the Muscatatuck State Hospital as a nurse’s aide for many years. She was a member of the Manville Christian Church where she was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing solitaire and spending time with family, especially her grandkids.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Amanda Jo Higham and her husband, Rick of Hanover, Angel Marie Haynes and her husband, Jeremiah of Vevay, Indiana, and Michelle Lea Smith and her husband, Glenn of Milton, Kentucky; her sons: Paul Lee Hopper Jr. of Austin, Indiana and Jeffrey Lynn Hopper of Hanover; one sister, Linda Marie Hehe and her husband, Joe of Vevay; one brother, John David Osborn of Vevay; six grandchildren: Victoria Lynn Hopper, Brendan and Jacqueline Courter, Abel Higham, and Alexia and Gabriel Haynes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Rickie Leon Osborn and James Russell Osborn.
The Reverend George Severn will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, with interment to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 25, 2017, and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Manville Christian Church. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
