George L. "Bunky" Wolfschlag, age 86, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the King's Daughters' Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1930 in Madison, the son of Leo P. and Bess Bersch Wolfschlag.
Mr. Wolfschlag was a graduate of Madison High School. He served in the Indiana National Guard and retired in the early 1990's after serving for for many years as an insurance agent with the Farm Bureau Insurance Company. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, a Cincinnati Bengals football fan, enjoyed being outdoors, and had almost 18,000 hours as a volunteer at the King's Daughters' Hospital.
He married the former Glenna Thenes on October 2, 1954.
He will be sadly missed by two sons: Bruce Wolfshclag of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Chris Wolfschlag and his wife, Kimberlee of Madison; one sister, Dorothy "Tootsie" Craft of Madison; and one aunt, Dorothy "Bidgie" Bersch of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 19, 2017 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
