Miss Ruby East Hampton. age 90, formerly of Trimble County, passed away on Friday, June 9,2017 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, She was born August 24, 1926 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Ruby Rill (Fisher) and Moses Jackson Hampton, Sr.
Miss Hampton was a graduate of the University of Louisville and served as a bookkeeper for Fessel, Siegfried, and Moeller advertising firm until the 1980s. She enjoyed music and attending performances of the Louisville Orchestra. She was a lifelong supporter of collegiate Christian education.
She will be sadly missed by several cousins: Leah Snyder Kinnaird and her husband, Gene of Miami, Florida, Cara Lynn Snyder of Dallas Texas, James W. Baltzell, and his wife, Karin of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Nancy Walters and her husband, James of Iowa Falls, Iowa, MaryLynn Kinnaird Crenshaw and her husband, Doug of Louisville, and a dear friends, Ann and Harold Good of Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one half-brother, M. Jackson Hampton, Jr., and her lifelong friend and first cousin, Leah Luckett Synder.
The family will gather and receive friends at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Wood Oakley Chapel, Milton, with a graveside service to follow in Moffett Cemetery.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Emmanuel Christian Seminary, Post Office Box 750, Milligan College, Tennessee 37682-0750. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
