Jonathan Dewey Couch, age 48, of Henryville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born December 7, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Denver and Janice (Deaton) Couch.
He was a disabled veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, having served in Iraq during Desert Storm. He enjoyed genealogy, hunting, shooting, fishing, video games, and spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Tanya and two sons Daniel and Anthony Couch, all of Tampa, Florida; his parents of Henryville; one brother and sister-in-law, Aaron and Shonna Couch of Clarksville, Indiana; his grandmother, Louise Deaton of Austin, Indiana; three nieces: Jessy, Aly and Jennifer Couch; beloved Godparents aunt and uncle Shirley and Thelbert “Boots” Engle, aunt Judy Deaton Combs, and uncles Hobert (Nancy) Deaton and Kenneth Deaton.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Woodrow Deaton and Dewey and Maude Couch.
Friends and family may visit from 1:00 to 2:45 PM Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel, 117 Holt Drive, Madison, Indiana. Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1415 North Gate Road, Madison, by Pastor Toby Jenkins of the First Baptist Church of Henryville, Indiana.
The Honor Guard of Jefferson Post #9, American Legion, Madison will conduct military honors at the cemetery chapel.
