Amanda Jo Hendrix, age 27, of North Vernon, Indiana, formerly of Madison, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Madison. Born December 18, 1989 in Batesville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Billy Gene Breeden and Tina Jo (Massie) Fergison. On February 10, 2011, she was united in marriage to Joshua C. Hendrix in Madison. She was a member of the granddaughters of the American Legion, Jefferson Post #9. Amanda was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying fishing, hunting and hiking with her husband.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Jaclyn Diane Jackson of Hanover and Chelsea Lynn Hendrix of Clarksville, Indiana; her mother, Tina Fergison and her husband, George, of North Vernon; her father, Billy Breeden of Hanover; her sisters: Ashley Helton and her husband, Anthony of North Vernon; Brooke Walters and her husband, Billy of Hanover and Billiejean Amburgey and her husband, Scott of North Vernon; her maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Linda Massie of North Vernon; her maternal great grandparents, Freddie and Charlotte Carlisle of Lancaster, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joshua Hendrix on December 12, 2017; her sister, Chelsea Lynn Breeden on January 29, 1994; and her paternal grandparents, Donald and Nancy Breeden.
Joshua C. Hendrix, age 34, of North Vernon, Indiana, formerly of Madison, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Madison. Born November 30, 1983 in Crown Point, Indiana, he was the son of Timothy A. and Dorinda A. (Nixon) Hendrix. On February 10, 2011, he was united in marriage to Amanda Jo Breeden in Madison. Josh was an outdoor enthusiasts, enjoying fishing, hunting, and hiking with his wife along with riding dirt bikes and four wheelers.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters: Jaclyn Jackson of Hanover and Chelsea Hendrix of Clarksville, Indiana; his mother, Dorinda Hendrix of Madison; his father, Timothy Hendrix and his wife, Lisa of Clarksville, Indiana; his brother, Jacob Hendrix of Madison; his step sister, Jessica Taylor of Fall Brook, California; his step brother, Justin Durbin of Clinton, Tennessee; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Hendrix on December 12, 2017; his maternal grandparents: Donald and Doris Nixon; and his paternal grandparents, Howard and Donna Hendrix.
The Reverend Mike LaFountain will conduct memorial services at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 17, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church, 5104 South State Road 62, Lexington, Indiana with burial to be held at a later date.
