Vivian Dorothy Burg, age 89, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. Born March 12, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Jack George and Dorothy Marie (Swanson) Dittel.
Mrs. Burg graduated from high school in Milwaukee and was a homemaker.
On September 2, 1950, she was united in marriage to Thomas A. Burg in Milwaukee.
She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church, was the church secretary for twenty-five years and a member of the Women's Missionary League. She enjoyed participating in both women's and couple's bowling leagues.
She will be sadly missed by two daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Bill Eubank of Farmington, New Mexico, and Karen and Andy Lytle of Madison; one son and daughter-in-law: John A. and Vicky Burg of Montgomery, Texas; eight grandchildren: Jerri Kay Mobley and her husband, Andy, Andy Lytle and his wife, Sarah, Ashley Newell and her husband Daniel, Andrea Barbee and her husband, Ross, Brent Burg and his wife, Brooke, and Brian, Eric and David Burg; and eleven great-grandchildren: Jacob and Jordan Mobley, Landon and Emilee Lytle, Carson, Claire, Ryker and Cruz Newell; Aubrey Burg, and Alexander and Alivia Lynn Barbee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on January 6, 2010, and one brother, Donald Dittel.
The Reverend Jeffery D. Pflug will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM Monday, January 22, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church, 3024 Michigan Road, Madison, with interment to follow in Indiana Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Main Street Chapel, 423 West Main Street, Madison, and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday, January 22, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church.
