Patricia Marie "Patty" Naegele, age 59, of Versailles, Indiana, formerly of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at River Terrace Health Campus in Madison, Indiana. Born July 22, 1958 in Madison, she was the daughter of Thomas Shannon and Virginia Margaret (Goley) Matthews.
On May 14, 1988, she was united in marriage to Ken F. Naegele at Saint Patrick’s Church in Madison. For the last forty years, she was a Realtor/Broker and Office Manager for Century 21 River Valley Real Estate, Inc., of which she was a part owner. She loved cats, enjoyed feeding the birds, and was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Ken of Versailles; her brother: Bill Matthews, of Hanover; her sisters-in-law: Karla Shelpman of Versailles and Cathy Poe of Decatur, Indiana; her nieces and nephews: Thomas “Tommy” Matthews, IV, Mike Matthews and his wife, Mary, Melanie Matthews, Jennifer Valiyi and her husband, Kashy, Julie Wright and her husband, Dean, and Dawn St. Michael and her husband, Rob; and twelve great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Thomas Matthews, III.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Christopher Craig at 10:00 AM Friday, May 25, 2018 at Saint Patrick’s Church, 305 W. State Street, Madison, with interment to follow in Carmel Cemetery in Hanover.
Friends and family may call at the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, Vail Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 24, 2018, and from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM Friday at the funeral home.
The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Steeple for the People of Prince of Peace Catholic Church or the ALS Association Kentucky Chapter. Contributions may be made at any of the Lytle Funeral Homes & Cremation Service locations.
