I spent many summers with Doris and her family....I learned from her the compassion and caring for others...she was a nurse and I followed in her footsteps...she was very happy about that...we had lots of stories to share....Many times during the summers Doris would take her son (Sean) and me to the country club, where we were able to spend the entire day..swimming, playing shuffleboard and other activities which were available there..I remember her driving to the country to get fresh milk from a farmer...One incident that occurred, which I remember well, I was "showing off" to Sean how to ride the bicycle with my feet on the handlebars..which did not end well for me...I crashed at the bottom of the hill...not a good example !!!...How to you say ROAD RASH all over my body...Doris had to patch me up...I do not think Sean tried my trick...She was/is a role model for me...we talked quite frequently...seeming to know when the other needed to talk...about whatever....I love you, Aunt Doris..I will miss you greatly....To Sean and Maria...my heart goes out to you...May you remember the faith your mother had..and that you will find comfort in that...love you, Karen
