I was a friend of Fred in Cedar Rapids because he was one year behind me in high school, his parents were friends of mine and most importantly he used to visit his aunt and uncle, Lou and Gordon Simonds who lived right across the street from me. As an interesting note, I have some home movies of Fred doing silly things such as running around our front yard, jumping over the flower beds and so forth and I think the thespian urge was in him even then and in my own case, after becoming a computer programmer in my adult life I have now become a playwright and have had 4 of my plays produced at our regional theatre, TCR. Also, could anyone tell me where is Gordon Simonds, Jr who was the last I knew on the West Coast?? My very best to you all at this difficult time which unfortunately we all must go through sometime during our lives.
